From download to your first optimization
A complete first-use flow for GameBoost-Haxu players. Every system optimization can be restored from the client.
01 / GUIDE
Download and install
Open Downloads and get the Windows x64 WinUI client. Extract it, then double-click Install GameBoost-Haxu to create a desktop shortcut.
02 / GUIDE
First launch
Double-click the GameBoost-Haxu desktop icon. Overview automatically scans the Steam library, reads the active power plan, and loads GPU telemetry.
03 / GUIDE
License and edition
Free edition supports scanning and Normal optimization. After purchasing Pro, copy the key from License Center, paste it in Settings, save, and restart the client.
04 / GUIDE
First optimization
Select a game in Overview, run Competitive preflight, then choose Normal optimize and launch. Use Extreme or Smart Global only after stable temperatures and behavior are confirmed.
05 / GUIDE
Recording and recovery
Pro automatically records temperature, network latency, and available FPS telemetry while a supported game runs. Use Restore original settings in Overview to undo system tuning.

Compatibility and safety
- Windows 10 / Windows 11 x64
- Supports installed Steam game scanning and manual EXE selection in the client.
- Does not modify game files or bypass anti-cheat.
- Extreme optimization, Smart Global, and performance recording require Pro; thermal protection restores settings at the configured threshold.
